hahaist011's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i hope diplodocus steps on your head i really wish i lived in pittsburgh. even though there are a few breathing, speaking reasons why it'd be more convenient not to. i just dig it. people are always talking about dinosaurs, robots, and Rooneys. which is a thing i like all on its own, not just as an alternative to, say, subzero sleeping bags, hiking, and hot tubs. yesterday, i watched people (manchester craft union or whatever it's called) pour iron. there was a special demonstration down in manchester on the north side* at Bidwell Training Center (this really excellent non-profit education place where rachel works). this little kid (who was brave enough to look at me and speak but only if he could actually hold onto some part of his mother's clothing) explained that the iron rolling thick and orange outta the bucket was "not normal hot but really hot." then he told his mother--who mentioned that the air itself was getting really hot around us--that he could "control" the heat. she goes, "i know you can."
